I had a chance to go to ikea this past weekend to do a little shopping for the nursery. I picked up this flokati rug. I want something soft and neutral for the rug in the nursery. Now that I have it home, I am not sure. What are your thoughts on these rugs? I already have frieze carpet in the room, so I couldn't do just a thick shag. It would be like putting shag on top of shag. I would love to do that if I had wood floors. The pictures posted here are a mix of shag and flokati and are from oh dee oh, cottage living, holly mathis interiors (who I got to shop with on Saturday as well!!) and ikea.

Windy, I have enjoyed watching what you're planning for the nursery!
I use these so much in nurseries, they are perfect!
Very cute rug. Looks so cozy in a nursery!
My favorite room in this post is the one with the different letters scattered throughout the wall. That is such a sweet little child's room. All of them are great though. I love a great flokati rug.

Flokati rugs are beautiful to look at and to feel inbetween the toes! And did I mention durable??? I found one about 20 years ago at a yard sale and still it looks like new. Very few of my inner circle (family and friends) shared my enthusiasm over it no matter where I put it. Eventually they came to their senses when they realized how versatile and appealing it is. I love it as a choice in a nursery. So, my vote is a big "Yes"! Happy Thanksgiving !!
